Owned this bike new in 1956. Used it to deliver newspapers. Very heavy.
Now modified with electric motor and 3-speed transmission. Headlight and horn inoperative. Much corrosion from oceanfront use. Faded glory, but many great memories. Now used at least once a week to travel the mile from my place to a very special oceanfront place in Del Mar, for coffee and philosophical discussions with an old friend/physician. And right around the corner from there is the Stratford Court Cafe, so sometimes I'll bike there for an acai bowl for brunch, but it's all about the outdoor setting in the sleepy little village of Del Mar.
